The China's People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) will showcase its advanced J-10 fighters in an air show in Beijing in November to mark the 60th anniversary of the founding of the PLA air force, according to the Xinhua News Agency.
This will be the first time for the Ba Yi Aerobatic Team, the aerobatic demonstration team of the PLAAF, to use third generation fighter planes in the air show.
So far, only the US, Russia and China have used supersonic speed fighters in their own aerobatic teams for air shows.
The event will feature three parts: the first two will present four J-10 fighters and six J-7 fighters' flyover show; and the third will show off paratroopers' skydiving skills.
The PLAAF will also exhibit air force weapons and equipment, including the Kongjing-2000 Airborne Early Warning and Control aircraft, H-6 bomber jets, JH-7A, J-10 fighters, J-11 fighters and HQ-9 surface-to-air missiles, said He Weirong, deputy commander of the PLAAF.
He also said they are domestically designed and most of them were shown during the National Day military parade on October 1 this year.
An international military forum themed "Harmonious skies" will also be held in Beijing, aimed at presenting a platform for the air forces of several countries to enhance mutual understanding. Over 300 senior officers will attend the forum and 20 air force leaders from around the world will address the conference.
