President Hu confident about Sino-Russian relations

Before leaving Russia, President Hu Jintao spoke to the press. He expressed confidence in the development of the Sino-Russian partnership, and said the SCO and BRIC countries should strengthen cooperation in tackling the impact of financial crisis.
China's president Hu Jintao says he's confident about the development of relations with Russia.
Chinese president Hu Jintao "This year marks the 60th anniversary of Sino-Russian ties. The China-Russia strategic partnership of cooperation has witnessed healthy development since its inception 13 years ago. There have been frequent high-level exchanges between the two countries and mutual political trust has been enhanced. The two countries have all along steadfastly supported each other on these key issues concerning sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity and national security. Pragmatic cooperation between the two countries has been deepened and has been fruitful in a number of key areas in particular, such as trade and economic cooperation, energy and technology. The Chinese Year and Russian Year have been carried out in each other's country, and the language year activities are to be held soon. The two countries have also maintained close coordination and cooperation in international and regional affairs."

China's president Hu Jintao says he's confident about the development of relations with Russia.
President Hu said cooperation between China and Russia is becoming all the more important given the complicated and changing international situation.
He extended the need for cooperation to the SCO and the BRIC countries.
The SCO countries have highly complementary economies. They've also have reached a number of economic cooperation plans.
Hu Jintao also said the BRIC countries -- Brazil, Russia, India and China -- have committed to bringing about an early recovery of the world economy.
Hu Jintao said the SCO is now facing tougher tasks of maintaining regional security, promoting economic development and safeguarding common interests.
He called for efforts to promote unity and trust, and to create a stable and peaceful environment for development.
