The first airport in Bole, capital of the Bortala Autonomous Prefecture, has wrapped up trial operations in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

A China Southern Airlines Boeing 737-800 passenger plane has successfully landed at the site.

Flights starting to operate in the area marks a milestone in the Bortala Autonomous Prefecture's transportation history. The airport is located 18 kilometers from Bole.

Construct started in July of 2009. The facility is designed to accommodate 200-thousand passengers per year. The venue has four runways, and can provide service for the Boeing 737 and other big plane models.
