In North China's Hebei Province, experts suggested that farmers improve how they care for greenhouse plants, as the seedling vegetables need sufficient sunlight and better temperature.
Despite transportation headaches, precipitation brought relief to arid regions such as Hubei, Anhui, Hunan, Jiangxi and Zhejiang provinces, where local meteorological departments were preparing to use rockets to produce rainfall.
In the next three days, northern and central China could expect strong winds and cold weather as temperatures dive eight degrees, CMS said Tuesday, according to China News Service.
Li Xiaoquan, an expert from CMS, said the rain and snow would hit most areas in China through Thursday, except Tibet and Yunnan Province.
Residents were encouraged to keep warm. Drivers should leave their cars at home since icy roads could increase accidents.
