Eleven people have been injured and three are missing following a coal mine gas blast in north China's Shanxi Province Monday morning, local authorities said.
The blast occurred at about 11:10 am at Xingguang Coal Mine Co. Ltd in Heshun County as 16 miners were working underground, a county work safety supervision department official said.
Two workers had been rescued, he said.
The mine, with a reserve of 203 million tonnes, is part of the Shanxi International Electricity Group Limited Company.
Rescuers are still searching for the missing miners.
