A group of 189 Uygur women was the first batch of workers sent to work in other provinces after the July 5 riots.

Originally from Jiashi county, Kashi district of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, they left Urumqi by train on Wednesday evening to work in China's eastern province of Zhejiang.

According to the Jiashi Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the county has sent more than 4,300 workers to 21 enterprises in seven provinces since January, and this is the 23rd group dispatched this year.

These young Uygur women have received necessary training on language and skills for them to start a new life in two large textile enterprises in Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province.

Since 2006, Jiashi has sent 19,000 workers to other provinces. Its income from labor services amounts to 200 million yuan with an annual per capita net income exceeding 7,000 yuan.
