Western media's distorted reports on Xinjiang riots stir indignation

news about the July 5 Xinjiang riots have occupied the front pages of many western media. Despite the statements and statistics they quoted from the Chinese government, some still distorted facts in news reports, which stirred up Chinese web users' indignation. 

A picture of the London Evening Standard's website shows a picture of two women with the caption, "Blood and Defiance: two women comfort each other after being attacked by police".

On July 7, the website of the London Evening Standard posted a picture captured from a video clip from China Central Television showing two girls consoling each other after being attacked by Uygurs. However, the report's caption is, "Blood and defiance: two women comfort each other after being attacked by police".
