Health boss in prison

The head of a health institute in Zhejiang Province was sent to prison for 11 years and was forced to pay 50,000 yuan ($7,318) for taking bribes.

The court in Zhoushan city ruled that Fu Pinghong, the head of a health institute in Gaoting township, issued invoices to claim 440,000 yuan ($64,423) for personal entertainment and received 280,000 yuan ($40,996) in bribes from pharmacies.

Fu claimed that he issued the invoices because the public expense for entertainment was insufficient.
