Bank hacker jailed

A man was given a seven-month jail term by a court in Xiaman, Fujian Province after he hacked into the computer system of banks and stole information belonging to 755 customers, it was reported Monday.

The court ruled that the man, Lou Jiayuan, had replicated two bankcards in February. He tried to use the cards in the ATM but failed. He was also accused of replicating another 15 cards in March and April.

One of the hacked banks reported the case to the police April 7 and Lou was arrested a day later.
