Gas leak kills 4

Four people died during a gas leak at a lead zinc mine in Qiaojia county, Yunnan Province Monday.

The accident happened at about 3 pm during sand discharge work. The mine is owned by a company affiliated with the Yunnan Haolong Industrial Group.

Following the incident, the county government activated an emergency protocol. Security, health officials and firefighters were deployed to the scene to rescue the victims.
