Hu hosts grand banquet for Obama

Chinese President Hu Jintao hosted a state banquet to welcome US President Barack Obama Tuesday evening at the Great Hall of the People.

The menu featured a combination of both Chinese and western dishes, including a cold dish, cream of chicken soup, three Chinese dishes and ice-cream with fruit as dessert.

The three Chinese dishes are stir-fried Chinese steak, stir-fried wild rice stems with asparagus, and roasted grouper, accompanied with Great Wall dry red wine and Great Wall white wine, both produced in Hebei Province, from 2002.
