China, Romania mark 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties

China and Romania held a reception in Beijing on Wednesday to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties.
Hailing the two countries' traditional friendship of cooperation, Chen Haosu, president of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, said China and Romania had enjoyed deepening cultural, economic and trade exchanges since the two forged diplomatic ties in 1949.
About a hundred delegates from various circles of the two countries, including Wang Gang, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, attended the reception.
