Escape with "China" on clothes

Many ethnic Kokang and Chinese businessmen are crossing over from Myanmar to China's Yunnan Province as fierce fighting between the government military and Kokang armed forces continues on Saturday.

By Saturday morning, about 30,000 people had crossed over from Myanmar into China's Yunnan Province.

Yang Ye, a businessman from Sichuan Province who just succeeded fleeing back to China told the Global Times' correspondent that he put the word "China" on the front and back of his clothes during his escape so that Myanmar government soldiers would not shoot him but his relatives are still trapped in Kokang.
