Chinese gov't to send special envoy to Kim Dae-jung's funeral

Acting as a special envoy of the Chinese government, Tang Jiaxuan will, on Saturday and Sunday, attend the funeral rites for Kim Dae-jung, late president of the Republic of Korea, Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said Friday.

Kim died Tuesday at the age of 85. The state funeral for Kim will be held Sunday after a six-day mourning period.
