Senior CPC official meets Thai foreign minister

Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met here Thursday with Thai Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya.
Kasit, also member of Thailand's Democrat Party, is on his official visit to China from June 10 to 11.
Hailing that the traditional China-Thailand friendship has deeply rooted in the two peoples, Wang said the increasingly deepening inter-party exchanges has become an important aspect for development of the bilateral relations.
The CPC is ready to further exchanges and practical cooperation with Thailand's Democrat Party, so as to bring state-to-state relationship to a new stage, Wang said.
Echoing Wang, Kasit said Thai government attaches great importance to promoting the inter-party ties, and the Democrat Party will carefully research and draw on advanced experiences of the CPC's success.
The Democrat Party is a ruling party of Thailand's coalition government.
