Huzhou Vice Mayor fought with husband before falling to her death

The vice mayor of Huzhou in east China Zhejiang Province, Ni Lingmei, died after falling 29 storeys from her apartment building in the early morning of April 2. Ni’s husband admitted they had quarreled before the accident happened, the Zhejiang Online reported.

After checking the scene of the accident, security camera videos and the body, the Huzhou Public Security Bureau confirmed that Ni had fallen off the window outside the bathroom. The accident is still under investigation.

Ni’s husband confessed that they had some arguments earlier and Ni’s son, who was studying overseas had sent a mobile text message asking his parents to “stay calm” just 20 minutes before the accident. A security guard surnamed Shen said that he heard people quarreling when he passed the doorway of Ni’s home.
