Ministry of Health: No swine flu found in China

China's Ministry of Health (MOH) announced April 28 that no suspected cases of swine flu have been found in China, refuting rumors about suspected swine flu in the country.

There are no suspected or confirmed cases of swine flu found in humans or pigs in China, according to the MOH, which has ordered medical institutions at all levels to monitor suspected swine flu cases and to report them to the ministry promptly.

Research on a possible vaccine and medication to combat the deadly virus is underway, MOH spokesman Mao Qun'an told Xinhua.
